Creating a forest community from a logged area

This is a PDF page link to the Galiano Conservancy Association  (GCA) report (8 pages)

They have worked hard at restoring/rejuvenating a young Douglas Fir Plantation to enhance biodiversity and accelerate the natural dynamics of natural forest conditions. Normally, with a heavy impact like clearcutting and replanting, it would take several more decades to fully naturalize to more "primary forest" conditions.

Thanks to GCA for all their good work and sharing of lessons learned!
